China - ASEAN Labor and Employment Forum was held in Chengdu, Sichuan on September 19th. Gu Xiulian---president of China-ASEAN Association, former vice chairman of the National People's Congress, Hua Fuzhou--- president of the China Association for Labor Studies, former Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Security Ministry, attended the forum and delivered speeches.
Professor Zeng Xiangquan---vice president of the China Association for Labor Studies, and Dean of School of Labor and Human Resources in Renmin University of China, was invited to chair the forum, and delivered a speech titled "Challenges of New Urbanization on China’s Labor Market", analyzing the background, objectives and tasks of China’s new urbanization and its impact on labor markets, etc.
Joseph---president of Binary University College in Malaysia, Professor Mi Hong---director of Social Security and Public Policy Research Center, Zhejiang University, H.C. Chanden---Secretary General of Cambodia-China Friendship Association, Deputy Secretary General of Cambodian’s Constitutional Council, and some leaders in Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security were invited to attend this forum and deliver speeches. Most representatives who had participated in the Ninth Conference of ASEAN Friendship Association, representatives from Beijing, Guangdong, Guangxi, Anhui, Jilin, Liaoning, Fujian and other places’ Human Resources and Social Security Departments, as well as representatives from government and enterprises in Chengdu, Sichuan, all attended the forum, totaling more than 100 people.
